Awesome experience!!! While living in Jersey my kids and I ate at this restaurant A LOT. Several of the staff knew us by name. We moved away in 2019 and had the opportunity to come back for a visit . Our dining experience was just as good as we remembered! The manager was top notch! Very attentive and all over the place making sure everyone was satisfied and enjoying themselves. Dan was our chef and he was AMAZING!!! Everything cooked/prepared to perfection! Thanks so much!!!!! We don't have a Benihana in San Antonio so this was extra special for us.

Jun was our cook and he was the best. As I was eating I told my sister” this taste like food from the soul” I loved his salt/pepper shakers. George was our waiter and was on top of everything. They were fun to be around.

I came for the 45-minute Power Lunch, for which I had the Benihana salad, hibachi rice, vegetables, and tofu. The salad and rice were prepared in the kitchen, while the vegetables (onions and zucchini) and entrées were prepared on the tabletop grill. Our chef Rob did a fantastic job. When he arrived he asked about dietary restrictions, and all I had to say was I'm vegan for him to understand and make sure my food was prepared before any animal products. He was also friendly, efficient, and diligent about cleaning the grill. My only criticism is that even though it was the first thing ordered, the Strawberry Passion Delight drink didn't arrive until after we followed up with our server and the meal was almost completed. I didn’t like it much anyway since I found it too citrusy and it was more frozen ice chunks than smooth, drinkable slushie. The hostess at the front was really lovely. She made our complimentary photo printout (a really nice Benihana touch) and caught up to us in the parking lot to deliver the takeout leftovers we had forgotten. Overall, I would come back again.

We had an amazing time celebrating our family birthday at Benihana, and Chef Jeff made the experience unforgettable! He was funny, friendly, and incredibly entertaining from start to finish. His cooking skills were excellent, and he kept everyone laughing while making sure our meals were cooked perfectly. He went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration feel special and fun for the whole family. If you get the chance to have Chef Jeff at your table, you’re in for a great experience. Thank you, Chef Jeff, for making our celebration one to remember!!!

Steak hibachi is a classic. It tasted good but the portion was surprisingly small. The vegetables were only onions and a few pieces of zucchini? Our hibachi chef was outstanding. However, the service was unfortunately really lacking. The server forgot our white rice, and honestly it took so long to get the check, we didn’t want to eat dessert and just left. This was our first time at a benihanas and we were surprised by the prices and charges on even fried rice. Not typical of hibachi prices.
